Spots, Bumps and Lumps on the Penis

It is common to find lumps and bumps on your penis. But not to worry, these small, flesh coloured lumps and bumps are harmless and should be of no concern.

The other benign spots, lumps and bumps may be:

•      Molluscum Contagiosum: Small dimpled lumps

•      Fordyce Spots: Small yellow or white spots on the head of the penis

•      Lymphocele: Usually hard and swollen lumps – caused by sex or masturbation.

Some bumps and lumps to look out for that should be taken care of:

•      Genital warts – An STI that appears as small growths around the genital area

•      Genital herpes – A viral infection that leads to painful blisters

•      Peyronie’s disease – Although the cause is still unknown, this condition causes the penis to bend due to a hard lump possibly due to trauma.

•      Penile cancer – It is a rare disease, but often symptoms are a lump that will not go away or continues to grow. It is usually painless.
